Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Friday | Windhoek → Etosha National Park
Depart Windhoek northward through cattle country and bushland to Etosha National Park, famous for its abundant wildlife and shimmering salt pan. Arrive at your lodge just outside the park and spend the afternoon at leisure.
Day 2 – Saturday | Etosha National Park
Enjoy a full day of game viewing inside Etosha National Park, home to four of the Big Five — elephant, lion, leopard, and rhino — as well as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, and over 300 bird species. Explore the network of waterholes that attract diverse wildlife throughout the day for exceptional photography and safari moments.
Day 3 – Sunday | Etosha → Kavango Region
Travel north into Namibia’s Kavango Region, a lush contrast to the arid south. Pass traditional villages and local craft markets before arriving at your lodge near Rundu, where you can enjoy an optional sunset cruise on the Okavango River.
Day 4 – Monday | Kavango → Mahango National Park
Follow the Okavango River east into the Zambezi Region, a fertile, green landscape lined with rivers and forests. Stop at Popa Falls, a scenic series of rapids, before arriving at your riverside lodge near Mahango National Park.
Day 5 – Tuesday | Mahango National Park
Early morning safari in Mahango National Park, Namibia’s smallest but most densely populated park. Look out for elephants, roan and sable antelope, red lechwe, and over 400 bird species. Later, enjoy an optional cultural walk to a local village.
Day 6 – Wednesday | Mahango → Bwabwata → Chobe
Travel east across the Zambezi Region (Caprivi Strip) toward Botswana’s Chobe River. En route, visit a Khwe San community to learn about traditional bushman culture and desert survival skills. Arrive at your lodge overlooking the Chobe floodplains — home to one of Africa’s largest elephant populations.
Day 7 – Thursday | Chobe National Park
Cross into Botswana and settle into your lodge in Kasane, where the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers meet. Explore Chobe National Park — a wildlife paradise with elephants, buffalo, antelope, lions, and leopards. In the afternoon, embark on a sunset river cruise to witness herds gathering at the water’s edge — an unforgettable highlight of your safari.
Day 8 – Friday | Chobe → Victoria Falls
Optional early morning game drive in Chobe before breakfast. Cross the border into Zimbabwe and continue to Victoria Falls, the final stop of your journey. Enjoy an afternoon of leisure or optional activities such as a helicopter flight or local cultural tour.
Day 9 – Saturday | Victoria Falls
Join your guide for a walking tour of Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya — “The Smoke That Thunders.” Marvel at this natural wonder’s power and beauty before exploring local craft markets or relaxing at your hotel.
